✨ Hi friend! I’m Lulu—your cozy animator and illustrator bestie.

I grew up in a world where being an artist wasn’t exactly “approved.” You know the drill—typical Asian family wanting me to be a doctor or lawyer. And honestly, people would look down on me for even trying to chase my creative dream.

But fast forward—today I’m an international, award-winning animation filmmaker. I even got to work on Spider-Verse 2 and illustrate the cover of The Spellshop by NYT bestselling author Sarah Beth Durst. 🌷

And now? I’m building something I wish younger-me had: a warm, supportive community where artists like us can learn, grow, and bring our art to life—together.

Here’s the biggest secret I’ve learned along the way 👉
You don’t need a fancy animation degree.
You don’t need an expensive Cintiq.
And you
definitely don’t need 10 years in the industry to create something meaningful.

What you really need are the fundamentals of animation and filmmaking—once you have those, the sky’s the limit. 🌙 That’s what inspired me (along with my best friend Sarah) to launch Bring Your Art to Life Animation Community—the coziest, most affordable online animation community for illustrators, creatives, or really anyone who just wants to make their art move.

I get it—you don’t really care about my story right now. What matters is: can I actually help YOU? 💕 And the answer is yes. Because I’ve been exactly where you are, and I know the exact steps it takes to grow quickly as an animator and storyteller. Every week, I will host a cozy Q&A hangout inside our private community—so you’ll never feel stuck or alone on this journey.

I can’t wait to meet you, cheer you on, and watch your art come to life. ✨

My name is Sarah, and I'm not a professional animator. So what am I doing here, you might ask…

A few months ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I met Lulu. We instantly connected over our shared passion for animation. This connection evolved into a partnership as we envisioned the boundless potential of creating an animation community.

My background consists of customer service and teaching. However, for the past 5 years, I've juggled multiple roles while living and working abroad. Though I've always loved creating, becoming a mom two years ago diminished my motivation to develop my skills and explore new creative outlets.

I never imagined I would have the chance to join a creative community, much less help manage one. Like many of you, I'm embarking on this exciting journey to build my animation foundations and complete projects I've only dreamed of.

Regardless of your life stage, available time, or financial resources, our animation community has something valuable to offer you. It's never too late to learn new skills or tackle projects that once seemed intimidating. And the best part? You won't be doing it alone.

Who Is This Community For?

  • You have the desire to improve and want to take your passion to the next level.

  • You are searching for mentorship and like-minded individuals to help you reach your goals

  • You want to invest in your creative journey to further your skills and practical knowledge within a community of creatives.

  • You've reached your limit with free tutorials and videos; you are ready to go deeper and finally bring that dream project to life.

Who can benefit from the community?

  • Aspiring Freelance Artists or Animators

  • Illustrators looking to see their art animated

  • Filmmakers looking to add animated elements to their film

  • Children’s book illustrators looking to advertise their product through animation

  • Or maybe you just want to animate a dancing cat …but not with AI!

  • This community is for everyone and anyone who has a vision to keep human-made animation alive!

Who Is This Community NOT For?

  • You do not want to be in a community and work with a bunch of amazing artists and creatives.

  • You want to see your dream projects still collecting dust on the shelf.

  • You do not want to improve or invest in yourself!

  • You do not want to learn how to animate in your style.

  • You do not mind AI art taking over the creative industries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior animation knowledge?

No, this community is for anyone and everyone, regardless of what stage you are at in your animation journey.

Why is the community being gatekept by a paywall?

We believe real value always comes with a cost. This community is led by a world-class animator passionate about sharing her knowledge and vision for the future of animation. To keep the quality, sustainability, and longevity high, there’s a small investment involved.

Think about it—creators usually spend $300–$2,500 a year on online classes and critiques, another $1,000–$2,400 on software, and $1,000–$3,000 on equipment (yes, those fancy Cintiqs!).

But for just $55, you can join this community—143x cheaper than the average annual spend, and 1,813x cheaper than animation school.

Can't I learn all of this on YouTube?

YouTube is full of great tutorials (we will even give you a list of our favorite creators), but you’ll waste hours sifting through endless videos, second-guessing what to watch, and often not even knowing what to search for. Here, everything you need is in one place—clear, direct, and ready to use.

Why should I invest in Bring Your Art to Life! before investing in another animator's bootcamp or course?

While our main selling point is the community, we’re also one of the most affordable animation courses out there. And the best part? The value keeps growing. The longer you stay, the more you’ll get—because we don’t just drop tutorials and walk away. We continuously add new lessons, resources, and tools, making the platform richer over time.

Plus, this isn’t just about learning—you’ll actually apply what you learn to your own project, while developing it alongside a supportive community.

What do I need before starting?

Ideally, you will need an iPad or a drawing pad. You will also need an animating program like Procreate Dreams, Toon Squid, etc. However, if you have any questions about any software or tools, you can ask in the community channels.
